Fire Festival continues in the face of repression

Paranoid mullahs ruling in Iran have banned the Fire Festival. The regime fears that the Iranian people will use the Chaharshanbe-Suri (fire festival on eve of the last Wednesday of the year in the Persian calendar) to stage popular protests against the religious dictatorship. They have resorted to extensive repressive military and security measures across the country, particularly in the country’s capital city, Tehran.

Demonstrations Reported from Across Iran before Elections

Stop Fundamentalism – Various reports of disturbances are coming out of Iran just a day before the so-called presidential elections in the country, Iranian dissident sources say.

The opposition website hambastegimeli.com reported today that young Iranians took to the streets of Tehran in Vali-Asr Square last night and in Tehran-Pars today chanting anti-regime slogans.

Iranian Soccer Fans Turn Victory Parade into Anti-regime Demonstration

Stop Fundamentalism – Soccer fans took to the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities, last night, following their national team’s 1-0 win over South Korea during the qualifying matches for the 2014World Cup in Brazil.  But soon after the parade began, chants of ‘down with dictator’ and other anti-regime slogans started to overshadow the victory screams of young people swarming the streets.
