victims killed during Iran Protests 2019 has surpassed 450

Number of Killed Protesters Surpasses 450-List of 154 Victims From 36 Cities Identified

By Atousa Pilger

According to People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) number of victims killed during Iran Protests 2019 has surpassed 450, though the actual numbers are much higher. The protests spread to 176 cities and the regime is desperately trying to conceal the true dimensions of its horrific crimes by the shutdown of the internet. The regime refuses to hand over the bodies of victims to their families.

Wave of Arrests

The wave of arrests is continuing. Iran’s prisons such as notorious Evin and Fashafouyeh are overflowing with detainees. Regime officials such as Ahmad Khatami, a member of the Assembly of Experts’ Presidium described the arrested as “saboteurs who have waged war on God,” Speaking at Tehran’s Friday prayer Congregation on November 22. “Judicial bodies say execution by hanging for the leaders of the recent riot are certain,” wrote daily Keyhan on November 18.

Call on International Community

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), described the killing of the protesters as a “manifest case of crime against humanity.”

Maryam Rajavi demanded urgent action by the world community so that the murder and suppression of the protesters are halted immediately.

Mrs. Rajavi called on the United Nations to quickly dispatch fact-finding missions to Iran and added that the regime leaders must face justice for perpetrating crimes against humanity.

Silence and inaction, she said, are both a violation of international conventions, laws ad standards, and embolden the regime to continue its crimes and expand them to the region.
