Ahmadinejad’s Ex-bodyguard killed in Syria fight

A former bodyguard for the Iranian regime’s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been killed while fighting in Syria.

The state-run Fars agency reported Friday that Abdollah Bagheri Niakari was killed while fighting in Syria’s civil war alongside Syrian government forces in the northern city of Aleppo.

 

Earlier this month, two senior commanders in of the Iranian regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Brig. Gen. Farshad Hasoonizadeh and Brig. Gen. Hossein Hamedani, were killed near Aleppo, the regime’s state media has said.

 

Iran’s regime is a longtime ally of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad, and has provided economic and military backing throughout the uprising and subsequent civil war
