Heed Maryam Rajavi’s call to defeat Islamic fundamentalism

Iranian opposition leader Mrs. Maryam Rajavi has for more than three decades urged the world community to take a firm stance against Islamic fundamentalism.

The main Iranian opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, or the MEK), which firmly believes in Islam’s democratic principles, poses the greatest challenge to the fundamentalist mullahs’ ruling Iran.

PARIS: Ramadan conference held in support of a democratic Iran

A grand Ramadan conference in Paris was held in solidarity with the Iranian Resistance on Friday 3, July, 2015.  The event promoted democracy, peace and tolerance among religions.

Mrs Maryam Rajavi, President elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), was the key speaker to the conference. The event was held at the invitation and support of the French Muslims Committee in Defense of Ashrafis’ Rights on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Former Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy considers the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), a coalition of Iranian opposition groups and personalities, as “a viable alternative to Iran’s tyrants,” as expressed in his post on Thehill.com, earlier today.

Describing the NCRI’s annual Iran Freedom convention in Paris, Kennedy said: “Looking at images of the June 13 rally, it’s fitting to describe the gathering as a microcosm of Iranian society. Young and old, rich and poor, and people of all religious beliefs attended the event from all walks of life, although the majority are educated, urban, middle-class Iranians.”

The only way to curb the spread of terror and Islamic fundamentalism and end nuclear proliferation in the Middle East is to topple the mullahs’ regime in Iran, announced Maryam Rajavi, the head of Iran’s main organized opposition, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Maryam Rajavi spoke at the annual Iran Freedom rally in Villepinte, north of Paris, on Saturday, June 13 which drew a sea of supporters for the cause of democracy in Iran and peace in the region. More than 600 distinguished international politicians and lawmakers of all political inclinations attended.

Stop Fundamentalism - Standing beside a memorial stand to remember her compatriots who have fallen for the cause of freedom in Iran, Maryam Rajavi placed a bouquet of flowers by the main monument after she finished her speech, addressing the crowd of Iranian dissidents and supporters who have gathered at Villepinte, France.  At the same time a video clip displayed on the stage called for “Regime Change in Iran.”

Stop Fundamentalism – Iran “cannot and should not be trusted,” said Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, the largest opposition group to the Iranian regime based in Paris, France to Eric Shown of Fox news in a televised interview yesterday.

The NCRI will hold a large gathering today in Paris to tell the world that there is another face for Iran which will not threaten it with support for terrorism and building a nuclear bomb.
