Iran’s nuclear chief said Tehran will resume activities at the Arak heavy water nuclear reactor, according to the state-run ISNA news agency.

ISNA cited MP Mehrdad Lahouti, the spokesman for the “independent” faction of the Iranian parliament, as saying that during a meeting with lawmakers on Sunday, the matter of the Arak heavy water nuclear reactor was discussed and Ali Akbar Salehi, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, made the decision to restart activities there.

Iranian women play an important role in the Iranian opposition’s struggle against the Iranian regime. Thousands of these women, inside the country and abroad, joined the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (also known as the Mojahedin-e-Khalq, MEK or PMOI) to struggle for freedom and justice. MEK women asserted their powerful determination by resisting against the mullahs’ torturers and executioners. Thousands of these women stood firm to the edge of death and so the Iranian woman became as the symbol of the struggle and resistance against the Iranian religious dictatorship.

On Saturday 20th July, thousands of Iranians participated in a major demonstration in Stockholm calling for comprehensive sanctions and a firm policy against the clerical regime in Iran. They also called for the notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) to be listed as terrorist organisations and to be treated accordingly.

In the summer of 1988, the Iranian regime summarily and extra-judicially executed tens of thousands of political prisoners held in prisons across Iran. The massacre was carried out on the basis of a fatwa by the regime’s then-Supreme Leader Khomeini.

But he founded a new oppressive regime under the religious turban instead of the crown of monarchy, claiming that “We (the mullahs’ rule) will take you (the Iranian people) to the highest rank of the humanity, don’t satisfy of this level.”
