In fighting that has triggered what the United Nations described as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, with millions of people displaced and in need of aid, Houthi militants claim drone attack on Abha airport, which was hit twice in similar incidents last month.

Abha International Airport is located in the capital of ‘Asir Province in Saudi Arabia. The airport has services to several domestic airports within the Kingdom.

Whenever Iran announces a new anti-aircraft missile system, questions arise, such as, is it new, or a knockoff?

At the unveiling ceremony of a new surface-to-air missile, the Khordad 15, Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami, said that the system is “capable of detecting fighter jets and combat drones from 150 kilometers [93 miles] away and of tracking them within a range of 120 kilometers [75 miles].” The Defense Minister quoted Iranian state media and added, “The system can also detect stealth targets at a distance of 85 kilometers [53 miles] and engage and destroy them within a range of 45 kilometers [28 miles].”

Iran Regime Behind Tanker Attacks in May

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Norway said in a joint statement on Thursday that the coordinated attack on four of their oil tankers just off the UAE coast in May was likely carried out by a state actor, according to the results of their preliminary investigation.

The three nations said that limpet mines – a type of naval mine that attach to their target with magnets – made large holes in the hulls of the four tankers on May 12, but did not result in extensive damage or oil spills.
