Should Iran’s IRGC Be Designated as a Terrorist Organisation?

Iran is continuing with its habit of provoking the United States. Recently, Iranian vessels approached a US Navy ship in international waters causing the US to fire warning shots.

Iran is testing the United States and the resolve of its President.

Trump and numerous officials in his administration have spoken again Iran and its provocations and aggression and have vowed to ensure this changes. The US has declared itself committed to making sure Iran faces consequences if, or when, it violates the terms of the nuclear deal or United Nations sanctions.

Iran Needs to Be Expelled From Syria in Order for the Middle East to Start Becoming More Secure

Israel’s objection about a solution for Syria that would benefit Iran has been noted. It believes that if the war in Syria ends and Iran is still present, it will be a security risk for Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasised that Israel is not objecting to a solution being made in Syria – rather it is objecting to the presence of Iran and its proxies.

It is not just at Israel that is at risk – other countries are at risk too, such as Turkey, Iraq, Jordan and the Gulf.

Iran: Civilian Flights Used to Transport War Equipment

It has been revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is using civilian planes to send military personnel and ammunition to Syria and Yemen.

An Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) official told Armed News that troops are sent to the war zones on civilian flights where they are hidden at the back of the plane. They leave via a separate door at the back away from the other passengers on the flight.

These flights also bring home the dead or injured military personnel.

Iran’s Foreign Policy Will Not Change Unless Crippling Measures Are Taken

Iran has continued with its pattern of provoking other countries. One such example is when Iranian vessels approached a US Navy vessel at the beginning of the month. Then it did the same thing a few days later. The body responsible for these provocations is Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Since the sanctions relief, the IRGC has grown emboldened and became further empowered faced with the inaction of the international community.

It carries out these kinds of provocations to show its regional supremacy and to flaunt its military power.

Iranian Teachers Hold Widespread Protests Across the Country

In protest against poor working and living conditions, the stolen money from Teachers Pension Fund, country’s deplorable educational status, and dealing with teachers’ protests as security threats, Iran’s working and retired teachers held rallies in different cities across the country on Thursday March 9, demanding that their problems be dealt with.

Iran Faces Increasing Isolation

With a growing number of countries voicing concerns about Tehran’s policies, Iran is experiencing international and regional isolation. The end of Barack Obama’s presidency signaled the end of a “golden era” for Iran, and a major shift in the balance of power.

The joint statement issued by Saudi Arabia and Malaysia that condemned Iran’s meddling in the Middle East, is one example. It left the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman no choice but to express Tehran’s utter regret. “The Islamic Republic’s principled policies are based on non-interference in the affairs of other countries and abiding by an approach hinging on good neighborliness,” said Bahram Ghasemi, according to Iran’s semi-official ISNA news agency.

PMOI/MEK Exposes Iranian IRGC’s Smuggling Activities in Their Entirety

New revelations, documented by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), shows that Donald Trump needs to act fast to designate the IRGC as a Terrorist organization.

During a press conference given by the NCRI in the Attlee Suite, Portcullis House, Westminster, London, 7 March, 2017, it was demonstrated how under the direct supervision of the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and organized by his faithful IRGC commanders, a large smuggling enterprise is carried out.

GCC Countries to Adopt Realistic Approach for Relations With Iran

In his address to the 147th session of Arab League’s Council meeting on Wednesday,

Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that “thanks to the prominent role by Kuwait”, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have adopted a realistic approach to govern their relations with Iran.

Iran: Two More Ballistic Missile Launches

Iran has been continuing with its provocative behaviour and in the most recent incident it has carried out test-firings of ballistic missiles. One of the tests was a success and hit a floating barge located over 150 miles away. A US official said that the Fateh-110 short-range ballistic missile launches were the first ones tested in the past two years.

It also sent fast-attack vessels near to a US Navy ship in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. The US Navy has warships patrolling this area. The incident was described as “unprofessional” and “unsafe”. The IRGC boats came within 600 yards of the US surveillance ship “Invincible”. They then stopped, forcing the US ship and the three accompanying British Navy ships into changing course.

Iran: Students Protest Against Gender Segregation

On Saturday 4th March, students of the Faculty of Literature at Allameh University in Tehran protested against gender segregation and inappropriate and illegal treatment.

They issued a statement about their protest. Part of it read:

“… The Nazis sent Jews to gas chambers to kill them and within a few minutes or a few hours their lives would be gone, but agents of the regime, day after day, trample upon the dignity and humanity of students! Countless people protested the methods of the Nazis because they saw the death of humanity. Shouldn’t we protest today against the ugly behaviour at Allameh Tabatabai University?”
