The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported that two mixed-gender parties have been broken up by the Iranian regime’s paramilitary Basij in north-eastern Iran within 72 hours last week. As a result, 70 people were detained.

11 prisoners including juvenile offender executed in Iran

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported that 11 young prisoners have been executed by Iran’s fundamentalist regime on Wednesday. The prisoners are said to have been in their twenties, including one who is believed to have been a minor at the time of the alleged offence. This news comes after three prisoners were executed on Tuesday.

Protégé of Khamenei appointed head of Iranian regime’s top clerical body

Ahmad Jannati, “a notorious cleric who is among the closest confidants of the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei”, has been appointed the head of the Iranian regime’s new Assembly of Experts, according to a report by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). He was selected by the assembly with 51 out of 88 votes, according to state media.

Jail threat for teachers of Iran

Sean Coughlan, an education correspondent for the BBC has written a report about the Iranian regime’s intensifying campaign of harassment and imprisonment against teachers’ union representatives.

He points of that Hashem Khastar, a teachers’ union leader from Mashhad who has been jailed three times, has confirmed that “there have been hunger strikes staged by teachers in protest against jailings and the denial of human rights”.

Iran aggravating situation in Syria

In an article published on The Hill’s website, Shahriar Kia describes how Iran is getting more and more involved in the war in Syria. The Revolutionary Guards now have over 60,000 troops on the ground – 8,000 of which are agents of the Quds Force, as well as thousands of mercenaries from Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Pakistan. Home of Sunni cleric is raided by Iranian agents near border

It has been reported that the repressive agents of the Iranian regime, on Tuesday 17th May 2016, have raided the home of Mulavi Ghasem Ghanbarzehi, a Sunni cleric. He was then arrested in the centre of Daman village. Daman village is located about 25 kilometers Iranshahr town in the Sistan and Baluchestan province, south-east Iran.
