Today, world leaders grapple with assigning blame or turning a blind eye to the actions of this terrorist regime. However, the consequences of the mullahs’ terrorism are increasingly affecting their own capitals.
Back in 2004, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, issued a grave warning: “The regional terrorism threat posed by the regime in Iran is a hundred times greater than the threat of the mullahs’ atomic bomb.” Fast forward two decades, and these words still ring true, reflecting an ever-troubling reality.
In 2003, using a web of deception and misinformation, the Iranian regime managed to lure the world’s largest military into Iraq to topple its arch-enemy. This strategic move allowed them to establish their own militias in Iraq, effectively turning the country into a launching pad for regional terrorism. The “Shia Crescent,” an array of terrorist groups, began taking their cues from Tehran. The regime’s nuclear ambitions, support for terrorism, and human rights violations were disregarded.
The Iranian Resistance also revealed the regime’s influence through lobbying, agents, and so-called “Iranian experts” who orchestrated deceptive operations to mislead Western intelligence and political centers.
These warnings, too, went largely unheeded. Despite countless massacres and Western-engineered operations meant to annihilate them, the Iranian Resistance has persevered, growing stronger with time.
It is time for the world to reevaluate its stance on the Iranian regime. Hoping for the regime to change itself while obstructing the very force that can bring about change is a futile approach. By failing to acknowledge the reality about Iran, the regime, and the Resistance, the world only prolongs human suffering.
The lessons of World War II remind us that appeasing fanatical dictators leads to dire consequences. It is a lesson we must not forget as we face the ongoing challenges presented by the extremist regime in Iran.
