This growing international recognition reflects the Iranian people’s yearning for democracy and human rights. A remarkable display of solidarity emerged from Italy, where over 200 parliamentarians, including high-ranking officials such as former deputy prime ministers and committee heads, signed a statement endorsing the Iranian Resistance’s Ten-Point Plan. This plan, championed by Mrs. Rajavi, envisions a democratic Iran with the separation of religion and state, guaranteed gender equality, and respect for human rights.

The Italian statement emphasizes the brutal repression inflicted upon the Iranian people by the regime, highlighting the 2022 uprising and the regime’s dismal human rights record. It condemns the sham trials targeting the Resistance leadership and the ongoing persecution of minorities. Furthermore, it underscores the destabilizing role of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Middle East and calls for its designation as a terrorist organization.

Moldova Joins the Chorus for Change

The Moldovan Parliament echoed these sentiments in a separate statement. Key figures, including committee heads and deputy chairs, signed the declaration expressing support for the Ten-Point Plan and the Iranian people’s right to resist oppression.

The Moldovan statement mirrors the Italian one in its condemnation of human rights violations in Iran, particularly the suppression of women. It specifically calls out the 1988 massacre of political prisoners and demands accountability for these crimes. Similar to the Italian declaration, it emphasizes the legitimacy of the Resistance Units, formed by the Iranian opposition, in their struggle against the IRGC.

These parliamentary endorsements from Italy and Moldova represent a significant step forward for the Iranian Resistance. The international community is increasingly recognizing the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic and peaceful future, free from the current regime’s oppressive rule. The statements also highlight the critical role the Iranian Resistance plays in advocating for change and holding the regime accountable for its human rights abuses.

The growing international support for the Iranian Resistance movement and its Ten-Point Plan puts pressure on the global community to take a more proactive stance in supporting the Iranian people’s struggle for democracy and human rights.

This development signals a turning point, showcasing the power of collective action and the importance of international solidarity in the fight for human rights and democratic values. As more nations join the call for change, the momentum for a free and democratic Iran continues to build, offering hope to millions of Iranians yearning for a brighter future.
