High-tech missile hits many targets in one shut!

Multi Target Anti Missile Radar Dodging Iranian Technology advance

Iran test-fires a missile capable of dodging radars and multiple targeting in a naval maneuver.

March 31, 2006 (Stop Fundamentalism) – Iran claims to have successfully test-fired a missile capable of dodging radars and multiple targeting in a naval maneuver.

Hossein Salami, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Air Force Commander told this to the state television in an interview.  He described the successful test as “a prominent achievement of the country’s defense capability."

"The missile’s design and production was done by the scientists in the Iranian defense ministry.  It has unique capabilities which are unmatched in the world’s advanced armies, since it was built based on our defense needs," Salami said.

"It uses multiple warhead technology, which (means) after the detachment of its warhead it becomes divergent, enabling it to hit different targets at the same time accurately, therefore fooling the enemy’s anti-missile systems."

The missile was tested on the first day of weeklong military exercises in the Persian Gulf.  Over 17,000 soldiers and 1,500 naval vessels of various types would be present in the operations of this war game, during which the Iranian military’s readiness to defend the country would be displayed, the IRGC announced Wednesday.

Resorting to intimidations seems to be the only tactic left for the Iranian mullahs to deal with the Security Council referral of their nuclear dossier.

During yesturday’s Tehran Friday prayers, former President and Expediency Council Chair Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said to a crowed gathered at the Tehran University, “If Iran’s nuclear dossier continues to move forward as we have seen so far, everyone will lose.  Of course, the damage inflicted on the people in the region resulting from the instability caused by such behavior would be catastrophic.  It would also inflict damage on the world.”

This way Rafsanjani was trying to bully the international community for referring the nuclear file to the United Nations Security Council.
