Iran will not allow imports of French Car Renault

Iran, July 30 – Iran won’t allow Renault to import cars which were to supplement the French car maker’s local production, The Peninsula reported.

Renault wants to import several thousand Megane cars to supplement production of the lower-budget L 90, or Logan, model.

Iran’s industry ministry said problems with after-sales service have to be resolved first.

Sources say some cars have already been pre-sold.
