BAGHDAD, June 28, 2006 (AFP) – The US military announced Wednesday the death of a soldier from wounds sustained as a result of "enemy action" in Iraq’s western Al-Anbar province.
The soldier was wounded on Monday, it said.
The latest fatality brought the US military death toll in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion to 2,521, according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
