Famous People Live Shorter Lives

SF News – Stars live shorter than ordinary people, says a study done of obituaries in US newspapers.

While the study does not claim to provide a conclusive result, it suggests that fame could be costly for the stars.

The data was published in the International Journal of Medicine.  During the research that was done in Australia, 1000 obituary adds in New York Times were studied. It showed that those involved in performing arts and also sports died younger than people involved in other careers.

Study showed that stars died at the average age of 77 while academics survived until 82.
