The fresh-air time of political prisoner in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran, has been discontinued by prison officials, according to reports received on June 11th.
While protesting this inhumane measure, the inmates informed the authorities this is implementing even more cruelty upon the political prisoners. They do not enjoy any rights to use various facilities, such as the library, exercise gym for the prisoners and other such places. Now, with orders of fire at will (issued by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei) apparently the prison authorities have found the opportunity to deprive the prisoners of their fresh-air time.
It is worth noting hall 12 of Gohardasht Prison lacks any openings and all cells’ windows have been sealed with metal plates. This causes severe headaches, breathing disorders and other medical problems.
