Iranian and Syrian Resistances hold rally in Paris

In Paris, in front of the Iranian embassy on Saturday 17th December, a rally organised by the ‘Syrian Revolution Coordination’ was held.

Hundreds of Syrian people and supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered to protest against and express their disgust of the horrific war crimes and crimes against humanity that are taking place in Aleppo by the Syrian dictator Assad with the help of the Iranian regime and its militias and forces. They also gathered to protest against the IRGC that is preventing the safe evacuation of innocent civilians from eastern Aleppo.

Syrian revolution and Iranian resistance flags were displayed. People also waved signs condemning Assad and Khamenei, calling for them to be held accountable and brought to justice. 

Slogans such as the following were heard: “Down with Bashar Assad”, “Down with Khamenei”, “Long live the Syrian revolution, long live the Free Syrian Army”, “expel the mullahs guards and militia mercenaries from Syria,” “Khamenei and Assad and Qassem Soleimani are the butchers of Syrian people are war criminals and must be submitted to justice”, “Khamenei is a murderer”, “Bashar is a murderer”, “We must end the silence over the massacres in Syria”, “Syria will not kneel”.

Banners were held with the following phrases: “Aleppo is the icon of suffering and steadfastness in the world, Aleppo will not kneel and will rise again, free, tall and full of pride”, “Aleppo is the icon of steadfastness and eternal flame of resistance and a source of inspiration for all freedom loving people”, “Assad and Khamenei have committed the greatest crimes against humanity in the 21st century in Aleppo and must stand trial”, “Aleppo is the heart of the eternal resistance and will rise from the ruins and will be the herald of the demise of the mullahs all over the region”, “Maryam Rajavi: We consider ourselves children of Aleppo, one of the landmarks of world civilization marked with blood”.

Well-known personalities and political figures spoke at the event. General Coordinator of the Syrian community in Paris, Mr. Ahmed Drickznla, emphasised that the Syrian and the Iranian people need to stay united to face the two dictators ruining their countries.

Representing the Syrian opposition, Mr. Wan Mahmood Ghobash spoke about the effort of the Syrian people to topple Assad’s regime. 

A representative of the United Federation of French trade unions affirmed that the people of France stand with the Syrian people in their quest for democracy and freedom.

Several members of the Iranian Resistance also declared their support and reiterated the importance of the Syrian and Iranian people standing united.

In her message of support, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi declared that the members of Iranian Resistance consider themselves wounded residents of Aleppo.
