In a notable escalation of activities, Iranian cities have become the backdrop for a series of protests and resistance movements led by the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK) Resistance Units.

These actions come as a clear demonstration of an unwavering determination to confront the mullahs’ regime, marking the 43rd anniversary of Iran’s longest and most complex resistance movement.

The streets of Tehran were notable scenes of defiance, with banners bearing the image and slogans of Iranian Resistance leader Masoud Rajavi. These banners carried potent messages like “No to the Shah and no to the Mullahs,” emphasizing a renewed resolve to liberate the Iranian people from the grips of the current regime. “The events today are not just a reflection of our yearning for freedom but a clear message to the regime that its days are numbered,” stated an anonymous activist in Tehran.

Iranian opposition President-elect Maryam Rajavi of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), has also been a focal point in these campaigns, with slogans celebrating the Iranian calendar year 1403 as “the year of the uprising.” Her image adorned publications throughout the capital and beyond, heralding “the only solution for this regime is its overthrow.”

The movement spread across the country, from Karaj with its calls for “uprisings and rebellion” to Arak and Mahalat in Markazi province, where the rallying cry was “freedom is the goal of Iran’s spring.” The resistance’s message was echoed in the northern cities of Fuman and Lahijan under the slogan “Women, Resistance, Freedom,” underscoring the critical role of women in this struggle.

The widespread and varied activities underscore a steadfast resolve among the Iranian Resistance Units to challenge the regime’s authority. “These movements represent the hopeful march towards a future where peace and freedom reign supreme,” mentioned a supporter from Kashmar.

Despite facing a relentless demonization campaign by the regime, which has resorted to publishing derogatory content and imposing harsh sentences on PMOI supporters, the Resistance Units continue to grow. This expansion is a clear testament to the regime’s failure to quench the Iranian people’s thirst for change and a democratic future.

“The regime’s attempts at suppression have only fueled our determination. Our resistance is proof of the Iranian people’s undying commitment to their rights and freedom,” stated a member of the Resistance Units, emphasizing the crucial role of women in the fight against the regime’s misogynistic policies.

As Iran stands on the brink of a new era, the activities of the Resistance Units illuminate the path toward liberation, marking a significant moment in the country’s history of struggle against tyranny and oppression.
