In the wake of recently leaked documents exposing financial corruption within Iran's Majlis, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei continues to champion the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Despite the internal crisis ignited by the revelations, Khamenei emphasizes the importance of elections as a fundamental pillar for reforming the country.

During a meeting in East Azarbaijan, Khamenei urged participants to refrain from negative campaigning, emphasizing the significance of a positive electoral process. However, the escalating election scandal has raised skepticism even among Khamenei’s loyalists, prompting questions about the necessity of participation.

Hedayatollah Khademi, a current Majlis member approved by the same Guardian Council, revealed that qualifications are being bought and sold, with candidates allegedly paying substantial amounts for approval.

In an ironic twist, Khamenei dismissed the idea of selecting the most qualified individuals by the Guardian Council, responsible for overseeing elections.

While the revealed amounts might seem modest compared to widespread embezzlement in the parliament, leaked documents indicate that representatives receive significant discounts, with a minimum income of 2.5 billion rials. Additionally, a specific law approved by Khamenei and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps grants them incentives several times this amount.

Jalal Rashidi Kouchi, another parliament member, disclosed receiving substantial offers to deny allegations related to car imports. These revelations underscore the pervasive corruption within the Iranian parliament, with financial motivations superseding genuine public service.

The Iranian Resistance asserts that Khamenei cannot mask the reality that elections within the regime are futile; a call for "revolution" resonates instead.

The discontent among the youth and the broader population reflects a growing demand for fundamental transformation and the overthrow of a regime marred by crimes and plunder. The Iranian people, disillusioned by corruption, appear resolute in their pursuit of removing this metaphorical cancerous tumor from their homeland.
