In the face of a repressive regime, the Resistance Units of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) continued to expand their activities across Iran, calling for regime change and the establishment of a democratic republic that rejects both the Shah regime and the mullahs’ rule.

These courageous activists are reiterating their commitment to overthrow the ruling theocracy and establish a democratic, secular republic based on the separation of religion and state.

At least 3,000 activities were documented in dozens of cities, including Tehran, Karaj, Ahvaz, Damavand, Amol, Zahedan, Lahijan, Semnan, Rasht, Shiraz, and Babol.

In their activities, the Resistance Units touched on several key themes, including support for the Ten-Point Plan of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) for a free, secular, and non-nuclear republic of Iran.

They also celebrated the death of Ebrahim Raisi, the regime’s president and a key player in the massacre of more than 30,000 political prisoners in 1988. One placard held by Resistance Units in Damavand read, “We commemorate 30,000 massacred PMOI members and freedom fighters, which the people of Iran will never forget. The justice-seeking movement will continue until the regime is overthrown.”

The Resistance Units also spread the slogan of the Iranian Resistance “Woman Resistance Freedom,” which recognizes and celebrates the leading role of women in the struggle for freedom in Iran. The PMOI Resistance Units’ activities serve as a testament to the organization’s resilience and determination in the face of repression. By continuing to organize and mobilize in different cities across Iran, the PMOI Resistance Units are sending a clear message to the regime that their voices will not be silenced, and their calls for a democratic Iran will not be deterred.

Through their activities, the PMOI Resistance Units reiterate the Iranian Resistance’s core principles, including the commitment to a democratic republic, separation of religion and state, gender equality, and the abolition of the death penalty – a stark contrast to the ruling theocracy’s oppressive policies.
