The recent spate of hangings, part of a broader strategy to suppress opposition and maintain a grip on power, demands immediate international attention. The Iranian Resistance is urgently appealing to the United Nations, the European Union, and member states to intervene and prevent further loss of life, particularly among political prisoners.

The regime’s relentless persecution has led to the execution of at least 359 individuals since the onset of the war in Gaza on October 7, a stark manifestation of its ruthless tactics to uprising.

Recent victims include Masoud Rigi and Hassan Gorgij, hanged on January 22 and 20, respectively, along with others executed across various cities. Notably, political prisoner Farhad Salimi, at serious risk of execution, joins a list of individuals who face imminent death sentences. The plight of teachers Iraj Rahnama and Gholamreza Gholami, sentenced on fabricated charges, highlights the broader assault on those advocating for basic rights.

In a shocking incident, the murder of Anahita Amirpour by plainclothes agents in Borujerd further underscores the regime’s brutal tactics. The Iranian Resistance is urging international organizations to investigate these atrocities and hold the regime accountable for its gross human rights violations.

Compounding the crisis, the mullahs’ regime systematically deprives prisoners, especially political detainees, of essential amenities, including health and medical care. The dire situation in Karaj Central Prison, where contaminated water has led to widespread diseases, demands urgent intervention to safeguard the well-being of inmates.

Leaders of the regime, including Ali Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi, and Gholamhossein Eje'i, must be held accountable for their four decades of crimes against humanity.

The international community must unite to condemn these atrocities and ensure justice prevails, preventing further loss of innocent lives.
