Iran rejects demands to freeze nuclear work

Iran nuclearStop Fundamentalism, July 15 – Iran’s state-run news agency, Mehr News, reported today that Iran will not accept the preconditions set forth by 5+1 countries for nuclear talks.

Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, the deputy secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said today to a crowd in northwestern Iranian city of Mashad that, “The precondition to freeze Iran’s nuclear activities is definitely unacceptable and the European deadline will not be met.”

“The incentive package, offered by the West demands two preconditions.  One to suspend nuclear enrichment and two to answer questions asked by the International Energy Agency’s board of directors,” said Fazli at the gathering of university professors in Mashad.  He also stated that, “Iran’s leadership has reached the decision not to accept the preconditions.”
