Stop Fundamentalism – Reports from Tehran Bazaar say that protests are taking place in Tehran Bazaar and shops have closed today in protest of instabilities in the market during the past few days.  Some protesters have been beaten and arrested by Tehran police in clashes and in other locations the police have used tear gas to disperse demonstrators.

Iran’s currency value, Rial, has taken a nose dive since Sunday falling over 30 percent in value.  Just last Saturday, one dollar was sold for about 27000 Rials but today it is sold for up to 40000.

There were rumors during the past two days that Bazaar is planning to close and Wednesday, a news website close to reformers reported that some parts of Bazaar was practically closed.

Other reports say that protesters are planning to stage demonstrations in streets of Tehran.  Iran’s state-run news agency Mehr has also confirmed closure of Bazazr today.
