A conference in Berlin on December 14 brought together an array of German political leaders, human rights advocates, and members of the Iranian diaspora, focusing on the critical situation in Iran.

Notable attendees included former Federal Parliament Speaker Professor Dr. Rita Süssmuth and other influential figures.

Keynote speakers, such as former Defense Minister Dr. France Josef Jung and several MPs from various parties, shed light on the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses and regional instability. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, delivering online remarks, emphasized the need for a firm policy against the Iranian regime and recognition of the Iranian Resistance’s efforts.

Mrs. Rajavi highlighted the regime’s recent actions, including the execution of 230 prisoners and ongoing human rights violations, largely unchecked by Western policies. She revealed intelligence on the regime’s espionage activities in Europe, particularly in Germany, as exemplified by the discovery of incriminating notebooks belonging to a regime-affiliated diplomat.

The conference called for decisive international measures, such as designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, implementing comprehensive sanctions, and recognizing the Iranian people’s struggle for regime change. Mrs. Rajavi’s appeal emphasized the importance of global cooperation in addressing these issues.

Participants expressed concerns over the West’s ineffective policies towards Tehran and highlighted the Iranian regime’s oppressive tactics against dissidents abroad. Speakers underscored the significance of the organized resistance against the regime, pointing to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as key players.

The gathering also focused on the regime’s disinformation campaigns and manipulation of justice to target Iranian opposition figures. The event highlighted the ongoing trials against 104 members of the PMOI/MEK in Iran, underlining the broader implications for Iranian refugees in Europe.

German politicians and human rights advocates at the conference praised the courage and efforts of the Iranian resistance. They emphasized the importance of solidarity with the Iranian people, especially women, in their fight for justice and democracy. The conference also recognized the role of the NCRI and PMOI in leading the resistance against the regime.

The event concluded with a collective call for increased international support and a unified approach to effectively address the multifaceted challenges facing the Iranian people. The speakers urged the global community, especially Germany and Europe, to reassess their policies towards Iran and actively support the Iranian resistance in their pursuit of freedom and democracy.
