Maryam Rajavi Urged People to Rise in Support of the Protesters Against the Tripling of Gasoline Prices

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran’s (PMOI/MEK) official twitter account holds a live update on Iranian people’s protests against the rise of gasoline prices by the Iranian regime.

Iranian regime suddenly raised gasoline rationing and price hikes as much as 300 percent early Friday and a strict rationing system was imposed. Within hours protests erupted across Iran with large number of people held gatherings and protests in response.

Angry crowds called for oust of the Iranian regime’s President Hassan Rouhani and blamed the mullahs destructive policies.

Protests began in Ahvaz and other Khuzestan Province cities. The protesters were attack by the State Security Force. But the young Ahvazis clashed with the Forces and forced them to retreat. The Mullah Thani Expressway was blocked and they chanted “Let go of Syria, think of us,” and “have no fear, we are all together.”

In Mashad protesters held a rally at Vakil-Abad Expressway and blocked the highway by switching off their cars. They chanted “Dictator shame on you, let go of the country,” “Rouhani shame on you, let go of the country,” “death to Rouhani,” and “our silence betrays Iran.” .” They protesters also carried signs reading, “We will never again buy gasoline, one hand does make much noise.”

Also in Tehran locals are blocking the Imam Ali Highway, protesting a recent gasoline price hike.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), hailed the brave people of Mashhad, Shiraz, Karaj, Sirjan, Ahvaz, and other cities for rising up against the mullahs’ corrupt and criminal regime. She urged all the young people to rise in support of the protesters.

“Hail to the brave people of Mashhad, Shiraz, Karaj, Sirjan, Ahvaz & other cities in Khuzestan who have risen to protest the gasoline price hike by the corrupt and criminal mullahs, & are chanting death to dictator & Rouhani. I urge the youths to help the protesters,” Said Mrs. Rajavi

“I call on the young people in #Khuzestan & in other provinces to join the ranks of the protesters. This is the only way to get rid of high prices, poverty, inflation & calamities the mullahs’ regime has inflicted on the Iranian people,” tweeted Mrs. Rajavi.
