Stop Fundamentalism, Nov 13 â€“ Iranian top officials express concern over imminent sanctions against Iran in the UN Security Council.
â€œIf the current draft resolution is ratified by the Security Council, Iran will reconsider its cooperation with the IAEA,â€ said Ali Larijani, Iranian nuclear negotiator.
Dariush Qanbari, member of Parliamentâ€™s Security Commission stated, â€œThe wording of the resolution does not indicate limited sanctions and the Americans have imposed their will in this draft.â€
Qanbari who was talking to Fars news agency reporter continued, â€œAppropriate measures should be adopted with regards to countries such as Britain which is quite involved in all conspiracies and pressures against Iran; Britain should pay a price.â€
Mehr news agency wrote: â€œIn the present dire situation, every step by the diplomatic apparatus of the Islamic Republic should be based on strong reasoning and all encompassing considerations since any error in the current situation will cost us in terms of national interests.â€
