Sunday, August 5 – Iraqi Parliament has approved a draft on a new law allowing foreign companies to build and manage oil refineries in this country.
The law would allow local governments and regional authorities to deal independently and directly with foreign companies, sign contracts and issue licenses for building refineries.
Iraqi television had a live broadcast of the parliament session in which the draft was ratified.
