Stop Fundamentalism – An Iranian-American dissident, who has been outspoken about the activities of the Iranian regime’s Lobby in Washington, was awarded a sum over $180,000 last week by the court to compensate for damages following a defamation claim law suit brought against him by the Iranian government’s Lobby.
Iranian-American, Hassan Daioleslam, had already won a court ruling against claims the Iranian American Council (NIAC) and its president, Trita Parsi had filed against him by National.
Daioleslam is the editor of a website english.iranianlobby.com and works extensively to expose the activities of the Iranian Lobby in Washington. He had accused NIAC of working for the Iranian mullahs pressing for Islamic Republic’s interests in Washington.
Trita Parsi and NIAC brought a defamation claim against Daioleslam to court back in 2008, but the court ultimately ruled in favor of Daioleslam in 2012.
On his website, back in September 2012, Daioleslam wrote, “after 4.5 years of legal battle, U.S. District Judge John Bates in Washington DC dismissed Trita Parsi and NIAC’s complaints against me. Their complaints challenged my articles and reports that Trita Parsi and NIAC lobby for the Iranian regime and their interest in the US. “
