With nearly six decades under its belt, PMOI has shown resilience and undying spirit against the tyrannical onslaughts from both the Shah and the mullahs.

Despite the overwhelming resources marshaled against it, the PMOI stands tall, thriving as the most organized opposition against the oppressive regime in Iran. The journey of the PMOI sparks the question: What underpins their tenacious resolve?

To start, PMOI’s foundation is built on unwavering dedication. Founders Mohammad Hanifnejad, Saeid Mohsen, and Ali Ashghar Badizadegan envisioned a future where the fight for freedom wasn’t a periodic endeavor but a full-time commitment. Drawing from the annals of Iran’s rich history of struggle, they formed the PMOI, a body whose members devote their lives, not waiting for the winds of change but actively shaping their destiny.

Independence remains a hallmark of the PMOI. Though appreciative of external support, the organization’s crux lies in its organic roots – deeply entrenched in the heart of Iran, continuously nourished by its people’s aspirations for a free land.

Beyond this, the PMOI is defined by its conviction and courage. The enduring spirit of its founders, even in the face of brutal torture by the Shah’s SAVAK police, stands as a testament. Their sacrifices, and the sacrifices of tens of thousands of their brethren since, resonate with Moussa Khiabani’s words: “This ideal can’t be destroyed because it is just.”

The organization’s enduring commitment against tyranny is unwavering. PMOI’s battle isn’t one of religion or ideology, but one against oppression. Even as the mullahs sought to dichotomize the nation post the 1979 revolution, the PMOI, under the aegis of Massoud Rajavi, stood as a beacon for freedom. Today, it remains undeterred from its prime objective: enabling Iranians to dictate their destiny without the looming shadow of the mullahs.

Conclusively, the PMOI’s narrative is a poignant tale of dedication, independence, conviction, courage, and unwavering focus. On this 58th anniversary, we salute the 120,000 martyrs of the Iranian Resistance, whose memories serve as the backbone of every stride towards a freer Iran.
