Bomb Blast kills 54 in Afghanistan

Stop Fundamentalism –  54 people were killed today in three different cities in Afghanistan, report news agencies.

48 of the deaths took place in Kabul city when crowed of mourners had gathered in streets to commemorate the day of Ashura which is one of the most important rituals of the Shiite Islam.

The incidents of today are some of the most disastrous terrorist attacks in Afghanistan in recent years.

Afghanistan police said there have been women and children among those killed.  The police also added that considering the severity of some of the injuries, the number of deaths could be on the rise.

Another bomb went off in the city of Mazar sharif taking 4 lives.  The bomb was installed on a bicycle, said news reports.

Also in Kandahar a bomb exploded injuring 3 civilians.
