Since 2017, Iran has been experiencing a seismic shift in its socio-political landscape, marked by a series of significant protests shaking the very foundations of its regime.

This period of unrest, a clarion call for transformation, is characterized by the Iranian people’s relentless pursuit of regime change and their outright rejection of any compromise with the oppressive factions currently in power.

Central to this narrative of change is the people’s refusal to revert to the despotic rule reminiscent of the Shah’s era. Instead, they aspire for a new chapter – a dawn of democracy where Iranians can freely shape their destiny within the framework of a democratic republic.

Amidst these tumultuous waves of change, the Resistance Units have risen as the vanguard, orchestrating and energizing protests and uprisings throughout Iran. These units, a dynamic network of activists, are affiliated with the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Their presence is palpable across the nation – from Tehran to Baluchestan, Khuzestan to Azarbaijan, and from Khorasan to Kurdistan, encompassing cities and towns in every corner of Iran.

They tirelessly promote the message of resistance and rebellion, amplify the voices of Iranian Resistance leaders, honor the martyrs of Iran’s revolution, and maintain the spirit of rebellion nationwide.

In the recent uprisings, these units have been instrumental in organizing protests and thwarting the regime’s attempts to silence the people’s voice. They’ve emerged as a symbol of hope, advocating for the rejection of tyranny in all its forms – be it under the Shah or the mullahs.

In regions like Baluchestan and Kurdistan, where the regime’s oppression has been particularly severe, these units have been key in mobilizing protests and amplifying the marginalized voices of the Baluch and Kurdish people.

In Tehran, these units have been crucial in piercing the regime’s veil of repression, which has been heavily enforced by security forces. The 2022 protests, in particular, showcased the profound influence of the Resistance Units. Youth and protesters targeted symbols of the regime, including banners of its leaders and key figures like Qassem Soleimani, a notorious figure in the regime’s oppressive machinery.

Despite facing brutal repression, the ranks of the Resistance Units have only grown stronger. In the 2022 uprising, over 3,000 members were arrested or went missing, while the regime escalated pressure on PMOI members and their supporters. However, the Free Iran 2023 Summit witnessed an outpouring of support for the Iranian Resistance and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, with over 10,000 messages from the Resistance Units.

Unwavering in their resolve, these units continue their activities across Iran, undeterred by the regime’s ruthless tactics. Their spirit embodies the indomitable will of the Iranian people, standing as a beacon of hope and the spear tip of an organized resistance movement. Their fight is for a future where freedom and democracy reign supreme in Iran, a testament to their unyielding pursuit of liberty. The quest for freedom in Iran continues, fueled by the Resistance Units’ resolute spirit.
