Today is the world AIDS day 2005. We are wearing the Red Ribbon as a sign of support for people living with HIV and a symbol of hope for the future. Speaking of hope for future, there is another world threatening disease called terrorism and fundamentalism which is growing daily not getting enough attention as it requires. Disturbing news in the headlines today was about a Belgian woman who after marrying a Moroccan and converting to Islam went on to Iraq to take part in a suicide operation which resulted in killing of 6 Iraqi nationals and herself. Terrorists are no longer limited to Middle East and are actively recruiting people even in Europe. To stop these criminals, war is not the answer. But we must take away their weapon which is a backward version of Islam and also all the instruments of power. Editor
