Lawmakers in the UK congratulate the PMOI (MEK) on its 50th Anniversary

Lawmakers from both houses of the Parliament in the United Kingdom have congratulated members of Iran’s main opposition  group the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) residing in Camp Liberty Iraq on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of their organization. The British Parliamentary Committee for Iran’s freedom said in a statement released on its website that it “joins Iranians, both in exile and inside the country, to salute members of the PMOI in Camp Liberty and the Iranian Resistance movement for their sacrifices and principled struggle to bring freedom and democracy to Iran.”

In remembrance of the lost heroes of Camp Ashraf

Two years ago a horrible atrocity occurred at Camp Ashraf where residents who were members of the Peoples Mojahedn Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) were massacred. Col. Wesley Martin who served as both a senior operations office for Task Force 134 and later as Base Commander of Camp Ashraf said:

This past Tuesday marked the second anniversary of the horrifying Camp Ashraf massacre that took place in Iran. Fifty two peaceful, unarmed and defenseless Iranian revolutionaries who were all members of Iran’s main opposition group the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) were brutally slaughtered and another group of seven people including six women were abducted by the Iraqi forces at the request of the regime in Iran.

Dr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras was invited on Friday 28 August as a guest of honor to a meeting with Iranian youths in Germany. He is a former Vice-President of the European Parliament and the President of the international committee In Search of Justice (ISJ). After being warmly received by the audience which comprised mainly of the young generation of the Iranian Resistance he pointed out that the active presence of the youth in the endeavor to liberate Iran from religious tyranny carries a very important message: “It shows that this opposition, despite the brutal repression by the mullahs, has the amazing capacity to rebuild itself after each attack and consequently has a bright future.”

Another spot inspection at Evin Prison in Iran

Yet another inspection was carried out on Thursday at the notorious Evin prison in Tehran, according to the main opposition coalition NCRI. This prison, which holds many Iranian political prisoners, was raided in wards 7 and 8 by the mullahs’ henchmen.

Silver lining on the Iran Nuclear Deal

Sir David Amess is the Conservative MP for Southend West in the House of Commons and co-chair of the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom (BPCIF). 

He writes for the Business Insider and is of the opinion that the nuclear deal is a weak deal. It is a step backward and Tehran could have been pressured for more concessions had the negotiators stood their ground.

Poverty fuelling organ trade in Iran

The National Council of Resistance if Iran (NCRI), has reported gross human right violations due to poverty in Iran.  

Shahin Gobadi, spokesperson for the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, PMOI (Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK) has stated that: “The bitter reality is that the overwhelming majority of Iranians are living in poverty and destitution due to the regime’s policies and conduct, such as spending an estimated $300 billion on its nuclear weapons program; and plundering astronomical amounts of the nation’s wealth has become common practice among the regime’s top officials who live a lavish life of luxury.”
