 The Express has published an article about the shocking mass execution of Sunni prisoners in an Iranian prison which came just a week after the Foreign Office said the country’s human rights abuses are getting worse.Ahmad Ebrahimi, a human rights campaigner who was born in Iran but now lives in London with his son, explained that he has lost many close friends and family members at the hand of the “tyrannical” Iranian regime.

Friends of a Free Iran condemns the execution of Sunni prisoners

Gérard Deprez MEP, Chair of Friends of a Free Iran, wrote an article condemning the execution of dozens of Sunni prisoners in Gohardasht Prison in the city of Karaj in Iran earlier this week. The families of the victims arrived to say a final goodbye to their loved ones, but were instead told they were too late. “Instead of saying goodbye, the families were told to go to the morgue to collect the bodies.”

This protest is against the execution of several of their cellmates.

Mohammad Javad Larijani supports the death penalty in Iran

The theoretician of the Iranian regime’s torture and execution in the judicial system, Mohammad Javad Larijani, has supported the death penalty and stated: “The Western’s view towards execution is baseless. They say the death penalty is unwarranted and inappropriate. However, we believe that the heavy punishment of execution must be carried out for serious crimes.”

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have reported that Fatah’s Information and Culture Commission has slammed the remarks by the advisor to the Iranian regime’s Foreign Minister as “a reflection of the policy of his destructive system”. This is following the meeting between Iranian Resistance President-elect Maryam Rajavi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday in Paris.
