This comes a week after 35 young men and women in Iran were flogged after holding a graduation party in Qazvin, north of Tehran.

Bahrain upholds sentences for five spies with links to the Iranian regime

In Bahrain an appeals court has upheld the sentences for five men accused of spying for the Iranian regime. The prosecution released a statement on Sunday 29th May confirming that their life sentences will be upheld and the court has rejected the five defendants’ appeals.

Calls for Iran’s armed units to leave Iraq

An article published on Sunday 29th May reports that Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir has stated that “that sending Iranian Shiite armed units to Iraq to participate in military operations or undergo training is unacceptable”. He said that the problem in Iraq is caused by religious conflicts that are a result of “Iranian interference”. One of Iran’s senior officers is “leading operations in Iraq against Sunnites”.
