AFP – EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Tuesday urged Iran to stay the execution of activist Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani, sentenced for allegedly supporting the People’s Mujahedeen of Iran(MEK/PMOI).

Stop Fundamentalism – In a rare development unseen since 1979 revolution that resulted in the fall of Mohammad Reza Shah in Iran, Tehran Bazaar was completely shut down by shop owners.  Also, at the same time, demonstration erupted in different parts of the capital city, including the Bazaar, blaming Ahmadinejad’s government for the current economic crisis.

Stop Fundamentalism – Reports from Tehran Bazaar say that protests are taking place in Tehran Bazaar and shops have closed today in protest of instabilities in the market during the past few days.  Some protesters have been beaten and arrested by Tehran police in clashes and in other locations the police have used tear gas to disperse demonstrators.

SF News – Russian scientists have recently discovered a comet that is passing by our plant and will be visible in 2013 with naked eyes over the western horizon.  The comment, called ISON, is expected to shine up to 15 times the moon depending on how big its tail will get when it gets closer to the sun.

U.S. State Department Removes Iranian MEK from its Blacklist

Stop Fundamentalism – The U.S. Department of State officially announced today that it has removed the Iranian dissident group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) from its Foreign Terrorist Organizations list.  The announcement comes only a week after the department’s spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland told reporters in a press briefing that Secretary of State Clinton has made her decision regarding the group and notified the Congress about her decision.

In a press conference with more than a hundred journalists and cameramen present, a painting that was kept in a vault in Switzerland for over forty years, was shown publicly for the first time.  The drawing is of “Mona Lisa.” The same famous character once painted by painter Leonardo da Vinci.  But this one shows the woman being 10 years younger.
