The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the theocratic regime’s democratic, Paris-based parliament-in-exile condemns the violent abuse of power by the current regime of Iranian PresidentHassan Rouhani, as does NCRI President Maryam Rajavi.  Her 10-point plan asks for the establishment of a secular republic with free elections, gender equality, prohibition of discrimination, and the abolition of the death penalty. 

Sir David Amess discusses Human Rights abuses committed by the Iranian regime,  and examines some ways of “empowering the Iranian people themselves, to embrace a democratic system we already know they support,” in an article published July 6 in Forbes, entitled “Don’t Ignore Iran”.

Harriet Sinclair has written an article for the International Business Times in which she discusses the recent attack on Camp Liberty in Iraq. She explains that over 40 people were injured after the camp was bombarded with missiles, following an eight-day blockade that prevented food and medication from entering the camp.

The International Committee in Search of Justice (ISJ) has voiced their condemnation of the rocket attack that happened at Camp Liberty near Baghdad on Monday 4^th July (20.30 local time). The attack coincided with the breaking the fast in the month of Ramadan. Around 50 rockets hit the camp and the surrounding area, causing widescale damage to much of the residential area infrastructures.

Shahriar Kia, a press spokesman for residents of Camp Liberty, Iraq, and member of the People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran opposition group (PMOI, also known as MEK), wrote an article for The Hill in which he discusses the human rights situation in Iran.

Anna Zaborska, Slovak Member of the European Parliament, declared that, “The Iranian people had shown great courage,” in opposing the oppressive regime of Hassan Rouhani.

Calling the Rouhani regime the “world’s leading executioner per capita,” there was, Baroness Cox, a cross-bench member of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords, said, in spite of the nuclear deal, a “deteriorating human rights situation in Iran.”

In a strongly worded press release on Tuesday, Members of the European Iraqi Freedom Association (EIFA) of the European Parliament said that, yet again, their warnings to the US and the UN about the danger of attacks on Camp Liberty had gone unheeded.

Members of the European Parliament have called upon the European Union and its member states to act to expel the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from Iraq.The Quds Force of the IRGC “regularly plans and executes terrorist plots against the civilian population,” according to the statement from Strasburg.
