Jafar Azimzadeh, an Iranian political prisoner and workers’ rights activist who has been on an indefinite hunger strike since the end of April has managed to send a statement out of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison. His statement comments on the release on bail of fellow political prisoner Ismail Abdi, Secretary General of Iran’s Teachers’ Trade Association (ITTA).
The Iranian regime must yield to the Syrian’s people will to overthrow Assad, says the president of Syria’s democratic opposition coalition
The head of Syrian’s democratic opposition coalition has said that the Iranian regime will eventually have to comply with the Syrian people’s will for sovereignty and democracy.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported that “Black-clad prison guards have raided a Kurdish political prisoners’ ward in Iran’s notorious Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison”, situated in the city of Karaj, north-west of Tehran. They beat the inmates and searched through their personal property.
Afshin Baymani, a sick political prisoner in the notorious Rajai-Shahr Prison (Gohardasht Prison) suffered from what seems to be a heart attack on Sunday, and has since been refused any kind of hospital treatment.
In a report by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), we are told that Mr. Baymani who is in his mid-forties suffers from a serious heart condition. He is currently held in Ward 4 of Hall 12 of Rajai-Shahr Prison in Karaj, north-west of Tehran.
A rebel onslaught on the Syrian town of Khan Touman near Aleppo last week delivered one of the biggest battlefield setbacks yet to the coalition of foreign Shi’ite fighters waging war on behalf of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Reuters reported on Friday.
