Iran is witnessing anti-regime nationwide protests since Friday November 15, that started after regime decided to triple the gasoline prices. According to Iran’s main opposition movement the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) more than 200 protesters have been killed, hundreds injured and over 1,000 arrested.  Amnesty International (AI) Condemned “killing of scores of protesters in Iran” and said in a statement “We’re horrified at reports that dozens of protesters have been killed in Iran, hundreds injured and over 1000 arrested since Friday. We’re alarmed that authorities have shut down the internet to create an information blackout of their brutal crackdown. We’re investigating.”

Three women were among the dozens killed during the first three days of the ongoing nationwide protests in Iran, according to the Womens Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). 

On Sunday, a young woman called Shelir Dadvand was killed when armed forces in Boukan, Iranian Kurdistan, opened fire on protesters.

As the anti-regime protests continue to spread across Iran, now reaching at least 107 cities, the international community has begun to react.

On Monday, Germany urged the Iranian regime to respect the legitimate protests and warned that they were watching the developments with concern.

Anti-regime protests have erupted across Iran, with chants of “Death to the dictator,” after the regime tripled the price of gasoline. The protests, which began on Friday, November 15, are continuing despite a major crackdown by the authorities.

Last night, Iranian security forces and plainclothes personnel shut down the doors of Tehran’s university. After the doors were blocked, regime forces brutally attacked the imprisoned students and detained dozens of students. The exact number of detainees is not known so far.

The Iranian regime announced on Friday, November 15 its decision to increase the price of gasoline, causes thousands to protest on the streets in more than 120 cities. At least more than 200 hundred protesters are dead.

These were the most violent street riots against the clerical regime. More than 3000 casualties have been reported yet. Security forces had immediately responded aggressively to protesters which intensified the number of casualties and violence.

Following Iran Protests which is continuing for a fifth straight day in Iran, with chants of “Death to the dictator,” “Death to Khamenei,” and “Death to Rouhani”, the People’s Mojahedin Organizations of Iran’s (PMOI/MEK) Resistance Units from inside Iran reporting that more than 200 protesters have been killed and thousands have been wounded.

According to reports of the People’s Mojahedin Organizations of Iran’s (PMOI/MEK) Resistance Units from inside Iran more than 200 protesters have been killed during Iranian People’s nationwide uprising and thousands have been wounded.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on November 17, that more than 1000 protesters had been arrested, while the real number is much higher.

On Sunday, protests raged for the third consecutive day, across cities like Tehran, Shiraz, Shahriar, Islamshahr, Robat Karim, Sanandaj, Khorramshahr, and Karaj. Protests in the bigger cities were not limited to one area and people clashed with the suppressive security forces in various districts of Tehran, including Tehran Pars, Enghelab Avenue, and Tehran University.

Protests have been spreading across Iran since the news that the government was increasing fuel prices by 300 per cent. The angry people of Iran have been confronted by suppressive and brutal security forces and they are making it clear that they will not accept the rule of the mullahs.

The price increase was approved by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. As with most decisions in the country, he has the final say.
