Dr. Anouar Malek, a prominent writer and former Syrian correspondent in the Arab Union, has denounced the mullahs’ regime in Iran for its mass executions, export of terrorism and its complicity with Bashar al-Assad in the killing of Syrian people. Arab Parliamentarians, international actors, and prominent civil society leaders have announced their support for the major “Free Iran” gathering organized by the Iranian Resistance in Paris on July 9.
For those that thought that US forces were pulling out of Iraq and exiting their Middle Eastern presence, it will be a shock to learn that they are in fact not.
U.S. intelligence agencies have recently disclosed nine training camps in Iran, which train Afghans fighters who will be sent to fight in Syria. U.S. defense officials have reported that these Afghans are part of Iran’s broader paramilitary, as they are trained by the IRGC as shock troops, often fighting on the frontlines for Bashar al Assad, the Islamic Republic’s close ally.
Raymond Tanter is a professor of political science at Georgetown University and is adjunct scholar at the Washington Institute in the United States. Tanter is considered an expert on Iran who in 2005 founded the Iran Policy Committee that promotes regime-change strategies in Iran.
The House of Commons in the United Kingdom on June 28 debated the human rights issue in Iran. British members of Parliament also discussed the slow progress of the matter since the nuclear agreement reached last year.

The former Iranian ambassador to Sweden and Norway, and representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Nordic countries, Perviz Khazaii, states that “Throughout the three years of Hassan Rouhani’s presidency, some in the West have maintained hope that it would herald an era of moderation and reform in Iran.”
