Iranian Resistance calls for unconditional release and immediate medical attention for sick political prisoners

The Iranian Resistance has called on human rights defenders to act immediately to secure the release of sick prisoners and ensure they receive urgent medical attention. They have also called for the formation of an international delegation to look into the horrific prison conditions in Iran. They specifically ask for the following human rights professionals to act: the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, the Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran.

Iranian political prisoner Saleh Kohandel’s open letter of protest

Saleh Kohandel, a renowned Iranian political prisoner and a supporter of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), has written an open letter from prison. The letter, which was smuggled out of prison, was addressed to his relatives.

Iranian man attempts suicide for not having $100 for hospital bill

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported the tragic story of a 45-year-old man who attempted to commit suicide after not being able to pay for an almost $100 medical bill. The man, Ali Shafie, suffering from extreme pains in the stomach went to the Milad Hospital in Tehran for treatment. However, he was not accepted into the hospital because his insurance booklet had expired and he didn’t have the cash needed to pay.

Man to be blinded by Iranian regime next week

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has reported that the Iranian regime is planning to blind a man next week. This news, received from inside Iran, indicates that the punishment under the mullahs’ brutal retribution law will blind Mojtaba Saheli (Sabeqi), 31, in his right eye. The regime has already blinded him in his left eye.

IRGC threaten to close Strait of Hormuz to US and allies

Twelve Iranian banks gone bankrupt

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have reported that 12 Iranian banks have gone bankrupt, although the news has not been confirmed by the institutions themselves.

“The state-run ILNA news agency quoted a regime economist on May 1 as acknowledging the extremely high rates of unemployment and suggesting that the regime’s economy is beyond any reform.” They reported that currently 12 banks have gone bankrupt, but it is still to be publicly announced.

Spate of brutal hangings by the Iranian regime continues

The Iranian regime are continuing to relentlessly and brutally hang the Iranian people, reports the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Two more prisoners were hanged on Tuesday 3rd May by Iran’s fundamentalist regime. These hangings took place in the north-western city of Ardebil.
