On January 7, shocked by the latest news of the execution of two protesters in Iran, Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, and Norway, organized rallies in different cities.
Holding a photo exhibit with images of slain protesters who were killed during the recent uprising inside Iran, the organizers also condemned the latest horrible crime of the regime and held the pictures of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini to call for a worldwide condemnation and the stop of the execution of political prisoners.
Protests in Iran have now spread to at least 282 cities. According to sources from the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the regime’s forces have killed over 750 people and arrested over 30,000.

These rallies were held simultaneously today by the supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in 14 cities in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Social media has been flooded with a video of young Iranians in Tehran chanting slogans against the government and in support of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), Iran's main opposition group.
Tehran’s youth performed that brave act despite knowing that even the slightest association with the opposition has serious consequences. Their actions foreshadow a growing trend of youth joining the MEK’s Resistance Units network in the ongoing uprising, which has alarmed the regime.

On Wednesday, the 111th day of Iran’s nationwide uprising, The MEK released the names of 614 protesters who were killed. The third anniversary of Qassem Soleimani’s death in a US drone attack just outside Baghdad International Airport was January 3.
Protesters and brave locals across Iran are expressing their hatred for Soleimani and the regime as a whole by targeting Soleimani’s posters, banners, placards, and billboards with Molotov cocktails and homemade explosives.
Maryam Akbari Monfared celebrated her 13th year of imprisonment in the dungeons of the Iranian regime while people all over the world rang in the new year.
She described the regime’s prisons as “hell-like” in a letter that was published by the media. On December 29, 2009, Akbari Monfared, a mother of three, was arrested on suspicion of supporting the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Without a warrant and under the guise of providing explanations, she was taken to Evin prison in the middle of the night.
Torching Qassem Soleimani’s billboards and nightly protests
“Poverty, corruption, high prices, onward to overthrow; Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei); We wrote with our own blood, we are devoted to the people, we are the People’s Mojahedin at war with the mullahs; Death to Khamenei, Long live Rajavi” chanted youths in Tehran.
Soheila Ojaghi was born in 1967 in Gonbad Kavos and immigrated to Tehran with her family many years ago.
Retired paramedic Soheila Ojaghi has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in the primar court and is currently incarcerated in Qarchak prison. Due to her age, she is accused of being the leader of the Iran protests. She was arrested on November 15, 2022, in Tehran’s Parand Square. She was held in temporary detention for only one day, then transferred to Qarchak prison along with more than 400 other detainees.

Iran’s nationwide uprising is marking its 111th day on Wednesday with protesters across the country continuing various protest measures against the mullahs’ rule. Brave locals in different cities throughout Iran have also been marking the third anniversary of the killing of Qassem Soleimani, former head of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force, by burning billboards and posters of his image.

At dawn on Monday, January 2, on the 109th day of the uprising, posters of Qassem Soleimani were set on fire in different parts of Tehran and other cities, including Ardabil, by rebellion youths. The ceremony of the 40th day of the martyrdom of “Shomal Khadiripur”, who was murdered in Mahabad protests, was held by a large number of people.
People chanted, “Death to the principle of Velayat-e Faqih”, “So many years of crimes; down with this regime,” and “Kurds and Baloch are brothers, they are arch-foe of the Leader (Khamenei).”
Residents of Dehgolan (western Iran) gathered to commemorate Reza Lotfi at his shrine and chanted “Death to Khamenei”. The people of Miandawab held the commemoration ceremony of Mehran Shekari with anti-government slogans.

Last night, rebellion youths in Tehran attacked a repressive Basij base with Molotov cocktails. They set fire to a large banner of Qassem Soleimani’s image on the Satari highway bridge, and in Tuysarkan, they set fire to and destroyed the statue of Qassem Soleimani by throwing Molotov cocktails. In Ilam, a regime’s banner was set on fire in Rahnavard Square, and in Anzali, an anti-popular Basij base was set on fire. Residents in Tehran, Isfahan, Semiram, and Garmdera Karaj chanted “Death to Khamenei” in their nightly protests.
On Sunday morning, marketers in Semirom went on strike in protest at the brutal suppression of the people of this city, and marketers in Dawlatabad, Kermanshah went on strike in solidarity with the people of Javanrud.

Today, the ceremony of the third day of Mehdi Zare Ashkezari’s martyrdom was held in his hometown Ashkezar, Yazd province. He, who was a resident of Tehran, was arrested in Tehran’s protests last month. The regime’s agents temporarily released him while he was on the verge of death due to brutal torture, but a few hours after his release, he went into a coma and died on Friday, December 30 after about 20 days of being in a coma. On December 31, while having bruises caused by severe torture and a broken nose, he was buried in Ashkezar Cemetery in Yazd.
