On Thursday, a number of memorial services for the martyrs of the Iranian uprising turned into sizable anti-regime demonstrations. People and fully armed security forces clashed in cities across Iran, and clashes continued one day after the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, considered protesters as foreign agents and declared the unrest over.

In Tehran, students of the University of Tehran, University of Science and Technology, Amir Kabir University, Azad University of North Tehran, Faculties of Materials Engineering, Mechanics and Architecture of Sharif University, Faculty of Chemistry of Azad University, Department of Research Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Civil Engineering, North Campus and Allameh University staged sit-in protests and strike.

Iranian doctors and medical professionals protested in Tehran and other cities against the regime’s refusal to treat injured protesters. The clerical regime responded with more violence, attacking medical professionals and killing Dr. Parisa Bahmani. The murder sparked outrage among Iranians both at home and abroad.

On Saturday, October 29, the 44th day of the nationwide uprising, the mullahs’ regime launched a new wave of crackdown on students who resumed protests across the country. Agents of the IRGC and MOIS attacked universities in Tehran and other cities, arresting a large number of students.
