Iran regime’s prison authorities are still refusing to allow political prisoner Arash Sadeghi to receive proper medical treatment for his various ailments in a hospital outside prison, which doctors say he needs.

Sadeghi’s condition is only worsening due to lack of adequate medical care in Rajai Shahr Prison; indeed he has now lost the ability to move his right hand because of an infection on his shoulder that has been left untreated.

The Iranian regime is responsible for some horrific crimes, including war crimes in countries across the Middle East as well as domestic crimes against its own people. It is the biggest state sponsor of terror in the world and it carries out the most executions per capita than any other country. The Iranian regime is responsible for the most horrific crime against humanity in recent times – the 1988 massacre in which the state executed more than 30,000 people in a bid to extinguish the Resistance.

Javaid Rehman, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, said on 24 October that in breach of international law, but keeping with the country’s legislation, Iran executed seven juveniles last year and two juveniles this year.

Mr. Rehman told the Human Rights Committee of the UN General Assembly that he has reliable sources indicating ninety juvenile offenders are on the death row.

According to the Child Rights Convention, imperative by the signatory’s countries, signed by Iran in 1991, the death penalty and life imprisonment is prohibited.

In the central part of Iran, farmers from the Kharsagan area of Isfahan took to the streets on Saturday 26th October. They were calling on the regime and the local officials to put a halt to plans that would take water away from them.

The regime has a project in place to divert water from the nearby Zayandeh Rud River to a steel mill and factory – one of the regime’s business interests.

The Iranian regime has been described as the biggest state sponsor of terror in the world and the biggest impediment to peace and security. These views are being reinforced every day by the Iranian regime itself.

The United States under the Trump administration has been applying pressure with the aim of forcing the regime to abandon its destructive policies, but it has not been wholly successful. The regime continues to push its malign policies and it is continuing to leave a trail of destruction across the Middle East and beyond.

A conference was held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 On Iran’s 1988 Massacre of 30.000 political prisoners, mostly members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK Iran).

A large number of MEPs from various political groups attended the meeting which was organized by Friends of a Free Iran inter-parliamentary group.

According to a UN report, the regime of Iran has executed at least 12 child offenders since the start of 2018, and more than 90 others are currently on death row awaiting their death sentence.

Iran is the world leader in death sentences per capita and is the main executioner of juvenile offenders.

According to the latest findings of the UN’s special rapporteur on human rights in Iran, Javaid Rehman, seven of the people Iran executed in 2018 were juveniles, which is a blatant breach of international norms and values.

A number of protests and rallies have been taking place across Iran, with large numbers protesting the mullahs and the corruption that is making their lives tougher and tougher.

On Tuesday 22nd October, a number of students held a rally in protest against the regime’s plans to transfer water from the Caspian Sea to the city of Semnan which is hundreds of miles away. The students of the Arts and Architecture School of Mazandaran University in Babolsar in the northern part of the country were holding placards objecting to the regime’s projects that are taking water away from the local area.

Dissent in Iran is continuing and the people are making it very clear that they wholly disapprove of the mullahs ruling the country. At one time, it would have been almost unheard of for people in Iran to openly criticise the regime and the country’s Supreme Leader, but times have evolved and people are holding anti-government demonstrations with great frequency. During the popular protests, the people shout “death to the dictator” and “down with the regime”.
