In both Iran and Iraq, protesters are taking to the streets with very similar goals. In Iran, people are holding anti-government demonstrations and making their desire for regime change loud and clear. In Iraq, the people there are protesting against the mullahs’ regime in Iran, calling for it to be expelled to put an end to its meddling in internal affairs.

The regime is having difficulty dealing with the popular uprisings in both countries and it is increasingly resorting to crackdowns on dissent. The crackdowns are becoming quite violent and enflaming the situation even more.

“Students! Support us” and “Shame on the university’s security,” chanted students.

Universities in Iran force students to pay high tuition while the regime wastes national wealth on terrorism and warmongering.

According to Iranian law, the government should support students and help pay for the costs of their studies, but in recent years, the regime has declined this support and forced students and their families to pay for their fees. In the current economic situation, this puts more pressure on students and their families to drop out of university.

She also mentioned the regime’s motivations for executing so many people and she saluted the many freedom-seekers that were killed at the hands of the regime.

The Iranian regime is trying its hardest to control society that is simmering with discontent and dissent. It is imprisoning and executing political prisoners as a way of trying to silence the opposition. It is a strategy that is not working because, if anything, it is making the people of Iran even more resolute in their demands for regime change.

Where there is trouble in the Middle East, the belligerent Iranian regime is not far away. In Iraq, the people are protesting social and economic conditions and they want to see the Iranian regime removed from the country and they are calling for the end to the regime’s interference in internal affairs.

The US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia John Abizaid recently spoke about Iran’s influence in the region, saying that the Iranian regime is “always ready to have somebody else fight their fight”. Although Iran’s actions could be interpreted as it gaining strength, Mr. Abizaid said that it is, in fact, having the opposite effect.
