The striking merchants of Tehran’s Bazaar continued their demonstrations on June 26 2018, for the third consecutive day.

The merchants and a crowd of people in the grand Bazaar of Tehran and Sabzeh Meydaan (Vegi Square) staged protest gatherings against the rising currency prices and chanted slogans against the regime’s policies. They were chanting: “Strike will continue” and “Dollar’s rate of ten thousand Toman, we don’t want, we don’t want”.

US must get tougher on Iran

When Donald Trump pulled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he gave America the green light to punish the Iranian Regime for its destabilising behaviour with sanctions. However, the US, as powerful as it is, cannot do this alone. America’s allies must stand in support of these sanctions or there is the very real risk that the Regime will be spared punishment.

The Iranian Regime needs to alter its malign policy in Syria, following an airstrike that killed and injured dozens of Iranian-backed fighters from the Shi’ite Kata’ib Hezbollah group near to the Iraq-Syria border.
This strike, which is the first of its kind, targeted Iraqi militias, who have been coming into Syria to fight for the Bashar Assad Regime on behalf of Iran, and aimed to cut off Iran’s corridor to the sea, by targeting a strategic area near Albu Kamal.
