Unemployment Crisis Continues in Iran

The real unemployment rate is several times higher than what has been officially announced, and it’s not going to decrease in the near future, according to former head of Tehran Economics University.

The regime’s labor minister also earlier announced that the country’s unemployment rate will not decrease in the next few years.

Iran: Another Dangerous Encounter with the US Navy

US Navy faced anther incident with Iranian naval patrol boats, when Iran conducted an “unsafe and unprofessional” encounter in international waters. 

The Iranian ship has been identified as a Houdong-class by the US Naval institute. It was within 800 yards of the USS Bataan helicopter carrier, the USS Cole guided-missile destroyer, and the USNS Washington Chambers cargo ship, when it “trained a laser on a CH-53E helicopter that accompanied the formation,” according to Commander Bill Urban, spokesman for the Navy’s fifth fleet.

Iran-Backed Terrorist Group Vows to Strike US Soldiers

Hezbollah, one of Iran’s biggest militia groups, has said that it is going to strike US soldiers that are in Syria. This is just further proof that Iran is directing its proxies to take action with regards to the American military coalition forces.

This threat is being taken seriously and is an example of how far Iran is willing to go when it comes to propping up Syrian President Bashar al Assad.

Dozens Faced Flogging for Eating Food in Public During Ramadan

In Iranian town Qazvin around twenty people have been flogged for eating and/or drinking in public during the fasting time of Ramadan.  

On top of these twenty people that were flogged, there were also dozens of dossiers set up for the same activity, according to state media reports.

Indian Plans for Iranian Port Development Affected Due to Western Pressure for Sanctions

Indian officials have said that manufacturers in the West are reluctant to supply equipment for work that is being carried out by India on an Iranian port. They say that the Western companies are worried that the United States will impose more sanctions on Iran. 

This is greatly impacting India’s plans in the region. It wants to create a transport corridor that will allow it to bypass regional adversary India, and Chabahar port on the Gulf of Oman is essential to these plans. India has been pursuing this for over ten years.

“Terrorism Breeds Terrorism” in Iran’s Twin Attacks

Wednesday’s twin attacks were heinous crimes that shed the blood of defenseless civilians at Iran’s parliament and the tomb of the Islamic Republic’s founder. They are said to have been carried out by the Islamic State.

These attacks were condemned by heads of state and political figures across the world. However, in a reference to Iran’s destabilizing role in the region, President Trump reminded that “states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote.” By this statement, he points our the difference between an attack taking place in Tehran and recent terrorist attacks in London and Manchester.

Iran Blames US for ISIS

Over the weekend, the Iranian regime announced their theory that the U.S. is to blame for birth and growth of ISIS. The theory came after the recent twin attacks in Tehran.

Armstrong Williams, who was an advisor and spokesman for the presidential campaign of Dr. Ben Carson, and is a radio host, talked about this claim in a piece in the Hill. “It is also important to recognize the significant role that symbolism plays in both Iranian and Middle Eastern cultures. Which is why the second terrorist attack targeting Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s tomb complex, the leader of Iran’s Islamic revolution, was a veritable attack at Iran’s core,” he writes, adding, “These twin terror attacks, striking the mullahs’ parliament and shrine to the Khomeini, represent a very painful bitter pill for the Iranian regime to swallow.”
