The state of affairs in Iran has been very bleak for a very long time. Decades of mismanagement and widespread corruption at all levels of leadership have left the country in tatters.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) wrote an article about what has been described as the “Cultural Revolution” in Iran. The article was published at the time of the anniversary of the founder of the Iranian regime’s death. Ruhollah Khomeini, the Supreme Leader at that time, oppressed the opposition and instigated some horrific crimes against humanity.
The second wave of Covid-19 seems to be engulfing Iran. Over 49,000 deaths have now been reported by the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK Iran), based on figures supplied to them across 31 of Iran’s provinces and 325 of its cities.
The clerical regime has put the number of people infected with coronavirus in Iran at 151,466 and the death toll at 7,797.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says the virus was discovered on February 17 and that he informed the people the same day. But a dozen documents released by the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (PMOI / MEK Iran) show that they have been aware of the issue since January 25.
The Iranian Resistance has been celebrating the anniversary of the death of Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini. This symbol of oppression led the way for the suppression of the opposition, trying at every opportunity to quash the rising dissent in Iran since he took power. He was responsible for one of the most horrific crimes against humanity in recent times – the incident that has become known as the 1988 massacre.
Since the very beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak in Iran, the ruling regime has failed to protect the people and has been extremely negligent. It has essentially allowed the virus to spread across the country, putting millions of people at risk.
Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli, the mullahs’ interior minister, conceals crimes against humanity by trying to downplay the number of martyrs in the November 2019 uprising. Now, finally, after seven months have passed, he has admitted that 200 people were murdered during the November 2019 uprising. At least 40 or 45 were seemingly killed by non-standard weapons which probably means they were murdered individually and not by gunfire.
The Covid-19 global outbreak has been felt all around the world and it has brought about unprecedented economic problems such as job losses which deprive people of an income they need to survive. Unfortunately, the reaction from the Iranian government doesn’t consider these matters or health risks when it told people to return to work. The (PMOI / MEK Iran) announced on Tuesday, that the Coronavirus death toll in Iran has surpassed 48,800.
In a speech in Shahroud, north-east of Iran, on December 4, 2018, the mullahs’ president Hassan Rouhani stated: “If the United States wants to stop the sale of Iranian oil one day, the oil will not be exported from the Persian Gulf at all.” This position of Rouhani revealed the new policy of the Islamic Republic.
The month of May in Iran was once again centered around the Coronavirus outbreak that has so far claimed the lives of more than 48,800 people across the country. However, in the background, the Iranian regime has continued to commit countless human rights violations.
