On Sunday, officials of Ghazni province announced that weapons they have seized from Taliban militants in the province which are made in Iran.
Security forces gained access to a Taliban hideout in a clearing operation on the outskirts of Ghazni city. According to Ghazni governor, Wahidullah Kalimzai, and police chief, Ghulam Daud Tarakhil, they recovered Iran-made weapons there.

Fake news brings to mind US President Trump and his tweets. The term causes our antenna to go up. The news is viewed and read with a sense of skepticism. But what we really should be careful of are news stories that not only have inaccurate facts, but have an objective, which is to lead their audience on with skewed information. Those who create fake news have an agenda for the unsuspecting public. In short, it is propaganda.

The human rights situation in Iran is appalling. People are still being imprisoned, arrested, tortured and detained for activities that the people are well within their rights to carry out. Since the end of last year, the people have been taking to the streets to make their voices heard. They have had enough of being silenced and desperately want their discontent to be heard and acknowledged.

Security Council to unanimously condemn Tehran’s recent “provocative missile test” calling it “dangerous and concerning, but not surprising.” The U.N. Security Council discussed the test behind closed doors, but did not take any action.

Every day for the past week, at least one, but more often two, Iranian transport aircraft have landed at Beirut international airport, according to military sources, while flights to Syrian air bases are few and far between. On their return flights, these Iranian planes refuel at Damascus airport. The majority of the incoming aircraft are Boeing 747s of Qeshm Fars Air, which are the planes used by the notorious Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

On November 4, the same day that renewed US sanctions against Iran came fully into effect, one particular protest in Iran caught the attention of Western media. The protesters burnt American flags, created effigies of Donald Trump, and shouted “Death to America”, so the press used the narrative that anti-US feeling in Iran had only increased since Trump puled the US out of the Iran nuclear deal, otherwise known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in May, citing Iran’s violations of the agreement.

A few days ago, the U.S. ambassador to Netherlands, Kenneth Ward, accused Iran of failing to declare chemical weapons-related activities in violation of its commitments to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Ward told the fourth annual meeting of the intergovernmental organization in The Hague that Washington is concerned that Iran is developing “central nervous system–acting chemicals” for offensive military purposes.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and foreign minister Javad Zarif are believed to be attempting to cover this up.

America has begun to establish local militias to fight Iran’s militias and forces in Syria. Along with the new round of sanctions, Tehran is feeling the pressure.
East of the Euphrates River some 30,000 Kurdish Syrians are being recruited, armed, and trained within the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) by US forces and their allies. Most are Kurds but some are Arabs. Assad’s forces — Iran and Russia — lie west of the Euphrates River.
