Many politicians across the US and the world have congratulated Donald Trump for his decision to pull out of the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement on Tuesday.
The first to praise him were the members of his own party, with Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan calling it an “a strong statement”, but this praise quickly poured in from the US’s allies in the Middle East, like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who called it a “historic move”.

Last week the Iranian streets were the scenes of protests and anti-regime activities in Tehran and other Iranian cities. Workers planning a rally in the capital, in front of the Majlis. but were denied permission. However, a large number of the workers still made it there and many people came out to support them.

On Tuesday, US President Trump announced that the United States is leaving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and re-imposing all economic sanctions lifted or waived under the agreement.
In an address from the White House Trump cited the “decaying and rotten structure of the current agreement.” He stated that, “The Iran deal is defective at its core. If we do nothing, we know exactly what will happen. In just a short period of time, the world’s leading state sponsor of terror will be on the cusp of acquiring the world’s most dangerous weapons.”

It must be made clear that Iran is no ordinary state. The fact that some of the Regime leaders speak English and that one faction has somehow convinced the world to describe it as “moderate”, should not distract from the fact that the Iranian Regime ignores international agreements and national sovereignty of its fellow countries in the Middle East.

The Arab League has publically supported Morocco’s decision to sever ties with Iran, over the Regime’s alleged support for the Polisario Front in the disputed Western Sahara.
Mahmoud Afifi, the representative for the Arab League’s secretary-general, said on Wednesday that the organisation strongly condemned and rejected Iran’s interventions in Morocco or in the internal affairs of any other Arab country.
